Why tallow
A balm with a very short story.
Tallow is rendered beef fat. People have used it on skin for as long as they have raised cattle, long before there were ingredient lists to read.
It is rich and slow. A small amount covers a lot, and it sits on dry patches, knuckles and cuticles instead of disappearing in seconds.
Whipping changes the texture. Air is folded into the tallow so it scoops soft and spreads easily, rather than coming out as a dense block you have to warm in your hands first.
Why GHK-Cu
The copper peptide is why it's blue.
GHK-Cu is a small peptide, three amino acids, bound to a copper ion. Copper compounds are naturally blue, which is where the pale ice-blue colour of this balm comes from. No dye.
It is one of the most talked-about ingredients in skincare right now. This jar pairs it with the simplest base there is: grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow and vanilla. Nothing else on the label.
How to use
Clean, dry skin. That's the whole routine.
- Start clean. Wash and pat skin dry.
- Take a little. Scoop a small amount with a clean finger.
- Massage in. Gently massage the balm into clean, dry skin until it settles.
